Tesla black car service: limited winter availability, full service back in spring
Our Tesla black car service is moving to limited availability for the winter months. Full service returns in the spring for weddings, airport transfers and winery tours. You can still email us to ask about a ride.

What's changing this winter
From now through the winter months, our Tesla black car service runs on limited availability. We're still happy to hear from you, but we can't promise every date or route until spring.
We first introduced the service in our Windsor airport shuttle post, which covers Tesla transfers to Detroit, Toronto Pearson and beyond. That's the full service, and it's what returns in the spring.
Why we're limiting rides
- Winter weather. Snow and ice on Windsor-Essex roads and the 401 make long trips less predictable, and we'd rather not take a booking we can't run safely.
- Licensed drivers. Over the winter we have fewer team members who hold the licence needed to operate the service.
What returns in the spring
- Weddings. Arrive in style, or get a ride home to Walkerville at the end of the night.
- Airport transfers. Pickups and drop-offs to and from Toronto and Detroit.
- Winery tours. A day across the wineries of Windsor-Essex County, with no one stuck as the designated driver.
- And more. Events, nights out and other private trips. Just ask.
Can I still book a ride this winter?
You can still ask. Email hello@distilleryhomes.com with your date, pickup and drop-off locations, and the number of passengers, and we'll let you know if we can take the trip. Please keep in mind that winter availability is limited because of the weather and the number of licensed drivers on our team.
